Replens is a hormone-free intravaginal gel, designed to provide relief from vaginal dryness and the symptoms of vaginal atrophy. Replens is water based, and pH-balanced to help create a healthy vaginal environment.

Replens MD will not affect condom effectiveness (natural rubber latex, polyisoprene and polyurethane). Replens is hormone-free, meaning it can be used in conjunction with hormone replacement therapy.

Replens products work by lining the interior walls of the vagina, providing moisture, lubrication and comfort. Using a carbomer compound, the gel stays fixed to the vaginal walls, allowing the purified water in the blend to be readily absorbed over several days to deliver continuous moisture. This helps promote the production of natural moisture.

As with all medications, some users may experience side effects when using Replens Moisturiser – however, most will not.

Some will notice a residue or discharge after initial use of this product. This is caused by your body eliminating dead skin cells; your body naturally removes these cells over time, but Replens may encourage the process and enhance the effects.

When used on a regular basis, Replens will prevent the buildup of dead cells, meaning the discharge should dissipate. If it does not, you may wish to increase the amount of time between applications, or see your doctor or gynaecologist.

If vaginal irritation occurs, stop using this product. If irritation persists, speak to your doctor or gynaecologist.
