Betnovate contains the potent active ingredient betamethasone valerate. Betamethasone belongs to a group of medicines called topical corticosteroids. It is also available as a cream or ointment to treat skin conditions in other parts of the body. Betnovate Scalp application is applied directly to the scalp and can help to reduce inflammation, itchiness, and redness. To apply the liquid, unscrew that cap and place the nozzle on the affected area of your scalp. Squeeze the bottle to cover the area with a thin and even layer of liquid. This does not have to be rubbed in, but some people prefer to rub it in. Your scalp will feel cool until the liquid has dried. Wash your hands before and after applying the lotion.
