Anbesol Adult Strength

Anbesol is a local anaesthetic gel, designed to both help with the pain of mouth ulcers and to prevent infection.

Anbesol gel contains an anaesthetic (lidocaine hydrochloride) that will help numb the affected area, reducing pain. This formulation also includes two antiseptics to help protect against infection, and keep your ulcers clean while they heal.
Please note that recurrent mouth ulcers may be a sign of an underlying medical condition. Speak to your doctor, pharmacist or dentist if you need to use this medicine for more than 7 days.
