Murine Eye Drops Irritation and Redness Relief contain the active ingredient Naphazoline 0.012%. Naphazoline hydrochloride belongs to the group of medicines called local vasoconstrictors which act by narrowing the blood vessels in the eye, thereby reducing redness and swelling.
Murine is formulated to clear redness and soothe eyes which have been irritated by dusty atmospheres, wind, swimming, smoke, air pollutants and close work such as reading and computer use.

After putting in the eye drops, you may notice a slight widening of your pupil (the black circle in the centre of your eye). This is an expected and temporary effect.
If you experience any eye pain or persistent vision changes, discontinue use and tell your pharmacist or doctor. If MURINE Irritation & Redness Relief is used every day, it could cause increased redness of the eyes. Side effects may vary from one person to the next, as with any product. You should always read the manufacturer’s Information Leaflet before using this or any other product.
